Why I Write
Writing is one of my passions, and in my spare time I choose to record and develop it here — where there is an opportunity for sharing with a diverse audience.
What you see here began as a New Year’s resolution to write consistently. Sticking with it helped me realize that writing and research combine nicely enough to allow me to develop my ideas and investigate alternative views. It also allows me to express complex thoughts and emotions, freeing up energy that would otherwise be trapped and wasted.
At times I use poetry to test my ability to empathize with others and their situations. In those cases, current events — filtered with my constantly developing world view — are my inspiration.
You’ll notice that nature is also one of my major inspirations and is frequently woven into my poetry and photographs. Simply observing aspects of nature energizes my spirit and eventually overflows onto these virtual pages.
